Biker booked for assaulting police officer

A biker and his female friend were booked for assaulting a 45-year-old police officer after he objected to their rash and negligent riding inside the National Games village on Tuesday evening.

Following a complaint filed by Hitendra M S, the Koramangala police registered an FIR against the unruly biker and booked him under assault and criminal intimidation. Based on a registration number, the biker has been identified as Sanjay and efforts are on to track him.

The police said While Sanjay was passing through the restricted National Games Village, he was driving in a rash and negligent manner and honking continuously. Sanjay was about to hit Hitendra, who was on an evening. The officer jumped for safety and objected to his rash driving.

The biker then came with his female friend and attacked Hitendra with a helmet and fled. Hitendra then filed a complaint with the police.
