<p>Bengaluru: The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) reached a milestone in its recruitment campaign by issuing appointment orders to 2,286 conductors.</p>.<p>As part of their induction, these new conductors will undergo a rigorous seven-day training programme to equip them with the skills and knowledge required for their roles. Of the 2,500 vacancies advertised, 2,286 have been filled under the Residual Parent Cadre Reservation.</p>.<p>The recruitment drive drew an overwhelming 23,021 applications. Of these, 4,722 candidates, who secured a minimum score of 30%, were invited for document and physical verification. This initiative aims to improve convenience, enhance transparency, and reduce reliance on paper-based documentation.</p>.<p>“The digital transition not only simplifies internal processes, but also saves resources such as paper, time, and manpower,” said a BMTC officer.</p>
