<p>Bengaluru: In a major operation, Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Ltd (BSWML) on Wednesday seized over 9,000 kg of banned single-use plastic.</p>.<p>BSWML chief executive officer Karee Gowda said fines amounting to Rs 7.38 lakh were imposed on traders for manufacturing, storing, and selling the prohibited items.</p>.<p>Officials raided 158 locations, including KR Market, Avenue Road, Kalasipalyam, Yeshwantpur Market, Peenya Industrial Area, Dasarahalli and Chamarajpet.</p>
