Burning dry leaves to attract fine

BBMP Commissioner M Lakshminarayana has instructed sweepers not to burn dry leaves fallen on roads and instead deposit them in parks and open grounds.

He also requested citizens to deposit dry leaves accumulated on their premises at parks and open grounds nearby.

Burning of leaves would attract fine as per the KMC Act, warned a Palike press release.
