Even after two years - since Deccan Herald had reported the problem - it still persists, thanks to the apathy of the civic agency officials. Residents here are fed up of complaining to the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB).

“We have stopped using water supplied by the BWSSB for the last four days and are forced to buy drinking water from outside. Although, the BWSSB officials claimed to have rectified the problem, the water is still contaminated here,” said Gregory, a resident on the Street.

When enquired, a BWSSB engineer admitted to the contamination. He said, “I had addressed the problem. But if the residents still receive contaminated water, I will look into it.”
