<p>Bengaluru: In an effort to reconnect Bengaluru residents with nature, the Department of Horticulture launched the 'Wonders of Nature' guided walk at Cubbon Park on Sunday.</p>.<p>The programme, developed in partnership with The Naturalist School and BangaloreWALKS, aims to raise ecological awareness and appreciation for the park’s biodiversity and heritage.</p>.<p>Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh formally inaugurated 'Cubbon Walks' in the presence of Horticulture Department Secretary Shamla Iqbal and other officials.</p>.<p>"These walks cover only 5 per cent of the park for now, but we plan to take participants to other parts in the coming days," said Arun Pai, tour guide with BangaloreWALKS. "The idea is to help people see trees and biodiversity in a new light and build a deeper connection with nature."</p>.Independence Day flower show at Lalbagh to feature Rani Chennamma, Sangolli Rayanna.<p>Shalini discouraged formal speeches. "Lets go for a walk," she said, preferring experience over ceremony.</p>.<p>Three batches of guided walks for registered participants were successfully held.</p>.<p>Kusuma G, Deputy Director of Horticulture, Cubbon Park, said: "The programme has been well-received, with all slots for the first few walks selling out quickly."</p>.<p>Walks will be held every Saturday and Sunday for two months, from 7.30 am to 9.00 am, in English and Kannada. Tickets cost Rs 200 per person.
