<p>Bengaluru: The Karnataka Lokayukta unearthed illegal assets worth Rs 48.55 crore after raiding the premises of ten government officials in six districts on Thursday. </p><p>The anti-corruption watchdog conducted simultaneous searches on the officials' properties, offices, and the residences of their relatives in Bengaluru rural, Bengaluru city, Gadag, Raichur, Kalaburagi, and Chitradurga. </p>.15k tur farmers to lodge Lokayukta complaint against DC, JD.<p>Over 50 locations were searched by the Lokayukta officials as part of investigations into disproportionate asset cases. Nanjundaiah, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Armed), Channapatna Police Training School, Channapatna, was found to own the highest assets among the ten, having Rs 12.53 crore. </p><p>These included immovable assets worth Rs 11 crore, including 5 sites and one house. Movable assets worth 1.48 crore, including cash of Rs 4 lakh and ornaments worth 45.74 lakh, were also discovered during searches at eight places linked to her, the Lokayukta said in a statement. </p><p>Searches at the properties linked to Ekesh Babu K, Deputy Secretary, Higher Education Department, uncovered total assets worth 7.9 crore. He possesses immovable assets worth Rs 7.4 crore, including three sites, three houses, and 2 agricultural lands of 12 acres each, according to the Lokayukta. </p><p>The searches of the properties belonging to M Lokesh Babu, Superintendent Engineer, Bescom, yielded assets worth Rs 6.70 crore. </p><p>The others raided were Dr Sunil Kumar, M C, District Health Officer, Bengaluru Rural (total assets: Rs 6.63 crore); Ramappa Pandu Jadhav, Superintendent Engineer (development), Municipal Corporation, Kalaburagi (Rs 3.58 crore); S. Suresh, Assistant Conservative Forest, Hiriyuru Taluk, Chitradurga (Rs 3.50 crore); Krishnappa, Tax Inspector, Vidyaranyapura (Rs 2.21 crore); Lakshman Konerappa Karni, SDA, Panchayath Raj Engineering Division, Gadag (Rs 2.01 crore); S. G. Suresh, Revenue Inspector, Ward No. 197, Bommanahalli Zone (Rs 1.82 crore); Ramesh B. Agadi, Excise Inspector, Excise Department, Koppal (Rs 1.61 crore). Disproportionate Asset (DA) cases have been filed against the ten officials at Lokayukta police stations in Bengaluru, Gadag, Raichur, Kalaburagi, and Chitradurga.</p>
