<p>The picture of actor Rakshit Shetty and Charlie (his canine co-star) for his next project ‘777 Charlie’ is doing the rounds on social media. The film delves into pet licensing, a subject specially relevant to our times.</p>.<p>Rakshit says he hasn’t worked such a subject before and that he can’t wait to explore his role. </p>.<p>“The film deals with the relationship between a man and his dog. The man, who otherwise led a secluded life, is forced to come out of his comfort zone when he finds a dog. He is then forced to spend a lot of time with the dog. How they become emotionally and almost inseparable is the crux of the story,” says Rakshit.</p>.<p>The actor confesses that he isn’t too much of a dog lover, but things changed after he started shooting for the film.</p>.<p>“After I took up this film, I started watching dog videos. Working on ‘777 Charlie’ has had an effect on me,” adds Rakshit.</p>.<p>He says that he now feels emotionally connected with his role in the film. “I shared a similar connect for my character in ‘Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu too,’” he adds.</p>.<p>Rakshit has been training the dogs for a while now. “We have three dogs in the film. One of them is the face of the film and the other two step in whenever necessary. Dogs have a limited attention span, so getting them to obey commands is challenging,” he says.</p>.<p> About the relevance of pet licensing, Rakshit says “Abandonment of pet dogs is a crucial issue. Since a license helps in tracing their owners without difficulty, this is a necessary precaution.”</p>
