HAL to provide quota for Kannadigas in appointments

Speaking to reporters later, Chandru said as per the recommendation of Dr Sarojini Mahishi report, 100 per cent reservation should be accorded to locals in ‘C’ and ‘D’ categories.

HAL’s HR department executive director Sudhakar Rao said that HAL was unaware that even Central government organisations had to conform to the report’s recommendations, but would now issue another advertisement for recruitment to these posts as the last date for submitting applications was July 15. 
According to HAL’s HR department, of the 15,162 employees in the Bangalore division, 11,262 were Kannadigas.
