The ideal footwear this season are open sandals, ballerinas, gladiator sandals, slip-ons, flip-flops, crocs, jelly shoes, silicon shoes, PVC boots and gumboots. Water absorbing, tight footwear must be avoided.

• Go in for printed short kurtas and pair them with knee-length shorts for the casual look and for a semi-formal look, you could wear linen drawstring pants with a short printed kurta in breezy, gauzy cotton voile fabrics.
• Invest in a black and a beige linen pant. You could team this with any colour.
• Wear open or sporty sandals. Silicone and jelly footwear are also great options.
