<p>Bengaluru: Residents and commuters are fuming over garbage piles on the roadside at 7th Block, Hosakerehalli in Banashankari 3rd Stage.</p>.<p>The mounting waste around schools in the area is raising health concerns, residents said.</p>.<p>Kalpana Sharma, Principal of Auden Public School, expressed alarm over the growing mosquito menace despite bi-weekly fumigation. "The school management has been following up with the BBMP for over five months, but nothing has improved. Students have to bear the stench and the constant swarms of mosquitoes,” she said.</p>.BTP chalks out plans to decongest Bengaluru's ORR .<p>Residents claimed that the BBMP’s irregular waste collection has left people with no choice but to dump garbage along the roadside.</p>.<p>"If residents do not pay the garbage collectors monthly, their garbage is left behind, and they end up dumping it outside,” one resident said.</p>.<p>Some pointed fingers at neighbours for ignoring the waste collection routine. “Many youngsters, juggling different schedules, often miss collection timings and end up dumping waste on the roadside,” a garage owner said, requesting anonymity.</p>.<p>When DH reporters visited the area, heaps of rotting food waste, discarded furniture, and damaged automobile parts littered the streets.</p>.<p>Residents pointed fingers at roadside food vendors for discarding waste and creating new black spots.</p>.<p>Marshals in the area said they are working hard to remove the blackspots. “We have cleared eight black spots in Hosakerehalli over the last few months, painted them, and even put rangoli to deter dumping,” a marshal said.</p>.<p>They urged the public to hand over waste directly to garbage collectors to prevent such problems.</p>
