<p>Actress Sanjjanaa confesses that she has worked really hard for her upcoming release Mahanadi. <br /><br /></p>.<p>“For a change, Mahanadi is a heroine-oriented film which has been shot with a budget of four crore. The director has immense faith in me and I don’t want to let him down. This is one of the very few films that has given a lot of importance to the heroine,” Sanjjanaa tells Metrolife.<br /> <br /> Sanjjanaa has also spent a lot of time — the maximum in her career — shooting for the film which is largely shot along the coastal areas and captures the life of the fisherfolk. “I play a fisherwoman, who is very ambitious and dreams of doing things that are almost impossible for her. The movie not only captures the dreams and aspirations of a fisherwoman but her life has also been linked with that of a river and involves many twists and turns,” she says. <br /> <br /> Sanjjanaa adds, “My character is very strong and there are portions in the film where I’ve had to play up on my emotions. And that part was quite challenging.” <br /><br /> Sanjjanaa thinks her character in Mahanadi has given her a chance to experiment. “It’s a bold character and the story traces the journey of a girl to a woman. How a small town girl makes it big and shines among the rich and the famous is the crux of the story,” she avers. <br /><br /> She will also be seen in Agraja opposite Darshan. “It’s a movie that is woven around politics, something on the lines of Sarkar Raj. I play a decent cameo,” she shares. <br /><br />There’s also ‘Rebel’ with Aditya where she plays a Singapore-returned girl. “We spent a month in Singapore and all Suhasini and I did was to eat and hop in and out of almost all the malls. We bonded really well as a team and spending a lot of time together off screen helps during the making of the film,” she points out. <br /><br /> Sanjjanaa also has a couple of Telugu projects lined up. <br /></p>
