The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bagged the prestigious Smart Governance Order of Merit Award for four of its projects at the 52nd summit on 'State of Governance', held at Constitution Club, New Delhi, recently.
The four award-winning projects are vehicle tracking and monitoring and passenger information system, healthy workplace initiatives, AWATAR (Anywhere Anytime Advance Reservation System) and smart technology in transport operation project.
The award recognises best practices and models of governance for excellent and efficient implementation of programmes and services. The initiatives are identified in the areas of health, education, rural development/panchayat raj, urban development, transport, finance and security.
