emerging trends

The International School of Management Excellence (ISME) recently organised a one-day national conference on ‘Emerging Trends in Management’ at its campus on Sarjapur Road

.

The conference organised by management institution took a look at the emerging trends in management in theory and practice.

This included developing an awareness and understanding of emerging trends in management in both theory and practice, identifying the challenges and opportunities in redefining management within the new paradigm and preparing a blueprint for future course of action after identification of path-breaking trends in functional areas of management.

This conference brought together some of the leaders from the industry and academia to share their vision. The chief guest of the event was Dr NM Agrawal, Adjunct Professor, IIM-B. He spoke on the conference theme and highlighted the importance of talent management in the knowledge economy.

After the welcome address by ISME Director Nitin Garg, Dr Ramesh G Tagat (academic mentor) provided an overview of the conference theme and set the tone for the event. Avinash Kulkarni from Hitachi Data System and Arun Thakur from Info Vision spoke about their experiences in the industry.

The conference was a huge success with active participation from the academia and the industry with thought-provoking ideas.

A total of 35 quality papers were received at the event and 20 papers were presented as well.
