Man stabbed with knife, robbed

A 24-year-old man was stabbed by two bike-borne miscreants and robbed of cash and a mobile phone in the wee hours of Monday on Mysore Road near Byatrayanpura.

The victim, Sameer, was admitted to Victoria Hospital by his friend Annie, who was with him during the attack.

Sameer runs a mobile shop, while Annie works as an event manager.

According to the police, the duo had been to Nagarbhavi on Sunday night to celebrate their friend’s birthday. And after late night party, Sameer offered to drop Annie to her paying guest accommodation in Koramangala.

At around 3 am, when they were near a petrol bunk on the Mysuru Road in FCI Layout, two miscreants on a bike waylaid them and at a knifepoint demanded Sameer to part with his valuables. When Sameer resisted, one of them stabbed him on his back and right leg and made away with Rs 11,000 Sameer had along with his cell phone.

After getting an alert, the police rushed to spot and conducted inquiries.

The Byatrayanapura police have registered a case of robbery and attempt to murder and searching for the two miscreants.
