Eid Mubaarak. The arrival of the new moon, marks the end of end of holy 'Ramadan,'  the month when Muslims fast throughout the day and eat only at night. Eid means recurring happiness or festivity. Prayers, feasts and family get-togethers mark the celebrations.

Lakhs of Muslims across the City gather in mosques to offer prayers and parttake of the meal together. Clothes and gifts are distributed to the needy. The little ones too religiously join in. Food forms an integral part of the festival. Fruits, Biryani and various types of deserts are made and the ingredients prepared well in advance. Our lensman scouted the City to capture the mood.

It’s that time of the year when good triumphs over evil. This Ramzan saw muslims invite their non muslim friends to be part and parcel of the celebrations.
