Parur M A Anantharaman, T Rukmini (violinists from Chennai); M S Sheela (vocalist), M A Krishnamurthy (ghatam), B K Anantharaman (flautist) and Dr R V Prasad (social worker) were felicitated by MP Ananth Kumar.
T Rukmini recalled her old days where she had performed along with T R Mahalingam and Balamurali Krishna.
She has performed in more than 300 concerts, accompanying various artistes, during the Mandali’s Sri Ramanavami celebrations. Even M S Sheela expressed her feelings and her association with Sree Ramaseva Mandali.
A violin performance was presented by the quartet of Parur M S Anantharaman, his sons Parur M A Sundareswaran and Parur M A Krishnaswamy, grandson Parur Anantha Krishnan; K V Prasad and Amruth N.
The evening performance saw a vocal recital by Ranjani and Gayathri. They were accompanied by B U Ganesh Prasad, Poongulam Subramanyam and M A Krishna Murthy.
