<p>Bengaluru: The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will extend train timings on the Purple and Green Lines on New Year’s Eve. </p><p>The last train from all four terminal stations (Silk Institute, Madavara, Challaghatta and Whitefield) will depart at 2 am on January 1, 2025. </p><p>The final train from Majestic in all the four directions will leave at 2.40 am. </p>.7-8 lakh people expected for New Year bash in Bengaluru: G Parameshwara.<p>Trains will operate every 10 minutes from 11 pm on December 31 up to the extended service period. However, the MG Road metro station will be closed at 11 pm. Trains will halt at nearby stations— Trinity and Cubbon Park. </p><p>Passengers travelling from Trinity or Cubbon Park to any metro station after 11 pm can use a return journey paper ticket priced at Rs 50. These paper tickets can be purchased in advance at all metro stations from 8 pm onwards. </p><p>Normal QR code tickets and smart cards will also be valid for travel from these stations during this period. </p><p>To avoid overcrowding at any particular station, the BMRCL said commuters heading towards Whitefield and Silk Institute should board at Trinity, while those travelling towards Challaghatta and Madavara should board at Cubbon Park.</p>
