The government does not want any controversies on any issue. Hence, it has decided to make it applicable in the KHB, too,” he said.<br /><br />Hike in construction cost<br />Somanna said the government had also decided to hike the cost of construction of houses under the Ashraya scheme from Rs 50,000 to 1.25 lakh per unit. <br /><br />The cost of construction material has increased manifold over the years; it is difficult to construct a quality house at the present cost, he said.<br /></p>
