The Palike had given a cheque of Rs 50,000 to Srinivas, father of Shilpa and Rs 5,000 to the family of Sunil (11) who suffered minor injuries in the accident.
Besides, a local councillor, N Pilliappa has also released Rs 20,000 from his personal funds to Shilpa’s family.
