Run for women empowerment

Supporting women's cause, over 1,500 people' on Sunday took part in 'The Run' - a marathon organised for women empowerment at the Sullivan Police Hockey Ground.

The run organised by Max Life Insurance Company Ltd in association with Karnataka state police, witnessed participation of athletes like Srinath Prahlad, Indian tennis player, Davis Cupper and Asiad medalist, Vaishali Kasture, global marathoner, Kothandapani, runner and one of the top coaches in India.

Manik Nangia, director, marketing and chief digital officer, Max Life Insurance said: "The run is in support of women who are the driving force behind every family's fitness and well-being. The cause resonates with Max Life's ideology, as leading a healthy life is a befitting way to empower and protect ourselves from the uncertainties of the future."

Divided into three categories, 'The Run' began with the PRO-21 km, followed by PASSION-10 km, PRIDE-5 km and the seniors and juniors for 2.5 km.
