<p>AIADMK leader V K Sasikala, who has been imprisoned in Bengaluru's Parapana Aagrahara prison over inappropriate assets case, has expressed her desire to learn Kannada language.</p>.<p>Sasikala, the close pal of late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, is said to be already communicating in Kannada with her jail inmates.</p>.<p>Sources in the jail said she is also going to take admission in a Kannada learning course in the distance education department of Bangalore University (BU).</p>.<p>Confirming the news to <em>DH</em>, Mylarappa, director (in-charge), BU Distance Education said, "Jail authorities have conveyed me about Sasikala's interest in learning Kannada. Everybody has the right to learn. I will be visiting Parapana Aagrahara jail later this week and give her the details about the course."</p>.<p>He also added that they have received more than 200 applications from jail inmates who have also expressed their desire to join various courses in distance education.</p>.<p>"We are also thinking of starting a special training centre and examination centre in the prison premises for the jail inmates," he adds.</p>.<p>Sasikala is more likely to get enrolled for a post-graduation (PG) course in Kannada.
