<p align="justify">The BBMP is all set to take up the Sivananda steel bridge project work following the positive results it got for the soil test.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) was conducting the soil test to know whether the soil was strong enough to hold the pillars of the steel bridge.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">A Palike official said: "Since the soil testing results are positive we are going to take up the project."</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Meanwhile, the residents opposing the flyover say that the civic body should stop the work till the court comes out with an order.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Srinivas Alavilli of Citizens for Bengaluru told DH: "The local residents are pursuing the matter in the court. The court has been very critical of the project. It has asked about the safety standards and whether there was a need for the project. The court is not working due to leave. Once the court resumes, we are confident that it will find that there is no need of flyover."</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Alavilli also said that the Palike should not continue the work till the court order comes out.</p>
