Student hangs himself

An engineering student allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Devasandra on Friday afternoon.

Prithviraj, 22, a native of Kodagu and a final year student at Cambridge Institute of Technology in KR Puram, was found hanging from the ceiling at his residence, police said.

Prithviraj was staying with his family.

On Friday morning, his sister left for college and his mother for her duty. He was alone at home when he took the extreme step.

The incident came to light when his sister returned home at 3 pm. She informed her mother and the police.
