<p>Scripts still chase veteran actor Anant Nag, who says he literally has no dates to give away. <br /><br /></p>.<p>For the actor, it’s not about signing one project after another but choosing the right kind of roles. This is precisely why he has become a little choosy. <br /><br />“There is a paucity of good scripts but there are a few young filmmakers, who are coming up with interesting ideas,” feels Anant Nag. <br /><br />He has always promoted young talent and that is why he almost instantly signed Gadda Viji’s directorial ‘Plus’ in which, he plays a successful industrialist. <br /><br />He has undergone a complete makeover for the film and dons three different looks.<br /><br /> “It was Viji’s idea that I change my look for the film. Not only is the script very different but the makers have also paid a lot of attention to the look of the character. The film is a thriller and there is nothing pretentious about either the story or the characters,” explains Anant. <br /> <br />He plays the role of an industrialist, whose life is portrayed in two different phases — as a young man who struggles to make a mark and a successful industrialist. <br /><br />“Different emotions and body language are required for different roles. The character has to switch fast according to the mood of the moment,” states Anant. <br /><br />Anant has had a pretty long and impressive career but he feels his career will be incomplete without playing certain roles that he has in mind. <br /><br />“I would like to play the role of a person affected by Alzheimer’s disease. This is happening to people both in India and the West. It pays to play a character like that because a lot of people will connect with it,” he feels.<br /><br /> The shooting for this project has began. <br /><br />In yet another interesting film, Anant plays the role of a jailer.<br /><br /> “The shooting hasn’t started but I prefer to concentrate on one project at a time. I don’t believe in taking on too many things at the same time,” he signs off.</p>
