Amulya B, working as a video producer with The Printers (Mysore) Limited, has won the Toto Funds the Arts (TFA) award for the year 2021, in both Kannada and English Creative Writing categories.

She has created history in the 17-year journey of TFA by winning both categories in the same year.

TFA was established in the memory of Angiras “Toto” Vellani to nurture young artists between 18-29 years. There are usually eight awards to be won — two for English Creative Writing, one for Kannada Creative Writing, two for Photography, two for Short Film and one for Music.

Every winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a trophy, except the winner of the Music award, who will receive Rs 60,000.

Other winners from this year include Saby Singh (Music), Kunjana Parashar (English Creative Writing-Poetry), Ashmita Guha Neogi and Megha Acharya (Short Film), and Hari Sai Srikar and Nilagraha Chatterjee (Photography).
