Train 18 to be introduced on M'luru-B'luru route: Goyal

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday said that the Train 18, recently renamed as Vande Bharat Express, will also be introduced on the Mangaluru-Chennai and Mangaluru-Hyderabad routes.

Speaking to media persons during an interaction here, Goyal said the high-speed train is one of its kind developed with indigenous technology.

“We will introduce it on routes connecting major cities. An indigenously developed automatic signalling system will also be installed on these routes,” he said.

The minister said Wi-Fi facility will be extended to all railway stations within the next six months.
