Two men mowed down

A 45-year-old man died on the spot when a truck ran him over at Konanakunte Cross under KS Layout traffic police station limits on Tuesday. 

Srinivas Kumar, a resident of Thyagarajanagar who worked with a private firm, was flung into the air when the truck hit him. The truck driver abandoned the vehicle and ran away, police said. 

In another accident, on the Jakkur elevated flyover, Nagendra, 24, an RTO agent from Jayanagar, was killed on the spot when his two-wheeler collided with an autorickshaw. He fell down and was run over by an unidentified vehicle which was just behind his bike.

 Three other men in the autorickshaw sustained minor injuries, the police said.  Nagendra was riding to his friend’s home in Yelahanka when the accident occurred. The driver of the unidentified vehicle sped off, the police added.
