Youth fatally struck by mini truck in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A 24-year-old youth succumbed to injuries after his scooter collided with a mini truck on the Kanakapura Road-NICE Road bridge on Sunday night.

The victim, identified as Chetan, was a resident of Weaver's Colony and worked as a food delivery agent. The accident occurred around 9.15 pm within the Thalaghattapura traffic police station limits.

Chetan and his friend Jayaram were returning to the city after visiting a temple, along with Chetan’s pet dog. The police reported that the dog moved suddenly, causing Chetan to lose control of the scooter and bump into the mini truck traveling in the same direction.

Chetan, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered severe internal head injuries. He was rushed to a hospital, but died on the way. Jayaram, who was riding pillion, sustained injuries, but is said to be out of danger.

The Thalaghattapura traffic police have registered a case.
