Speaking at a preparatory meeting for the forthcoming elections to the Legislative Council from the graduate and teachers’ constituencies, Yeddyurappa said the achievements of the government will be showcased at the event. The BJP government completes two years in power on May 30.

Yeddyurappa said the party aimed to bag 150 seats in the next Assembly election. The party will have to make inroads into Mandya, Mysore, Hassan and Chamarajnagar districts. There were 32 assembly segments in the four districts, but BJP won only three seats, he pointed out.

Yeddyurappa said the party will begin the process of shortlisting candidates for the next Assembly polls in the next three months.
