<p>Akhila Bharata Veerashiva Lingayat Mahasabha State Unit President and retired IPS officer Shankar Bidari said that the the implementation of socio-economic-educational survey also known as caste census will cause trouble not only for Veerashaiva-Lingayats but also for SCs, STs, and other backward classes in the state.</p><p>Addressing media persons, here on Monday, he said, earlier, the state had around 75 lakh population in the third B category of Other Backward Classes. But now the survey states 66 lakh population. So, there has a been decrease of 6.6%. Besides, the sub-sects of Veerashaiva-Lingayat community had been classified differently. Some sects have been added to the other category. "We may get clarity if the complete data is out. Later, we will take a call on the survey report after chairing a meeting headed by Akhila Bharata Veerashiva Lingayat Mahasabha Shamanur Shivashankarappa."</p><p>Former minister B C Patil warned that the forcible implementation of the census will lead to blood revolution in the state.</p>
