A Central team of officials will tour the flood-affected seven districts for three days from September 23.
The State has already submitted a memorandum to the Centre seeking funds for taking up relief works to the tune of Rs 475 crore (in flood-hit areas) and Rs 745 crore (in drought-hit areas). As many as six officials headed by R K Srivastava, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, will tour in two teams. The districts to be covered are Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu, Uttara Kannada, Belgaum, Shimoga and Chikmagalur, according to a press note.
