City academic invited by RAE

Shalini Urs, founder and chairperson of MYRA School of Business, has been invited by the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE), London, to chair a session on "Knowledge Economy" and speak at "Frontiers of Engineering for Development" symposium at Pretoria, South Africa, on December 5.

AAE is the UK's national academy for engineering, which brings together the best engineers from a range of institutions, including academia, industry and government from across the globe to advance and promote excellence in engineering and innovation both in the UK and globally.

The "Knowledge Economy" will focus on "creating a platform for measuring learning activities and outcomes primarily looking at leveraging learning analytics to improve education." Urs will present a paper on "A fit bit for learning: tracking learning and outcomes".
