“If Yeddyurappa proves this point, I will publicly bow my head,” the JD(S) leader, who was the former Energy Minister, told reporters after releasing the “black paper” prepared by the party on the present power situation of the State.

The Government has been misleading people saying that it has generated 1,602 MW power in two years. “This Government is only implementing power projects that were launched during my tenure,” he alleged.

There has been no progress in the State’s plan to set up a power project in Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh government has allotted a disputed land for the project. Even Delhi Government has been trying to set up a power plant in Chhattisgarh for the last 10 years, but the project has not moved forward, he said.
