CM Siddaramaiah wants varsities named after social reformers

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has instructed the Chief Secretary to table the subject for discussion at the next Cabinet meeting.

Bengaluru: Expressing his wish to name public universities after transformative social reformers such as saint-poet Basavanna, poet and philosopher Kanakadasa, Mysuru Maharaja Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar and former Chief Minister D Devaraj Urs, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has instructed the Chief Secretary to table the subject for discussion at the next Cabinet meeting.
