Complaints have been registered in Shanivarasanthe police station against a person named Manish Manikantha for posting derogatory remarks against Siddaganga Mutt pontiff Shivakumara Swami on Facebook.
A farmer S M Umashankar from Shidigalale village and Bajrang convener G B Dilip from Gudugalale have submitted separate complaints condemning the disrespectful remarks against the seer.
Derogatory remarks on the seer who is acclaimed as a walking God has pained his followers, the complainants said and urged initiation of legal action.
Meanwhile, Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Mahasabha district unit president D B Dharmappa and Sharana Sahitya Parishat district unit president S Mahesh have urged for initiating legal action against Manish Manikantha.
