<p class="bodytext">Once known for its salubrious climate, Dharwad recorded the highest temperature of 41.7 degrees Celsius on March 23 and 24 in the state.</p>.<p class="bodytext">As per the reports of the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) Bengaluru, Dharwad topped the list with 41.7 degrees Celsius followed by Belagavi which recorded 41.5 degrees Celsius, Karwar - 41.2 degrees Celsius, Kalaburagi - 41.1 degrees Celsius and Raichur and Haveri which recorded 40.9 degrees Celsius.</p>.<p class="bodytext">That apart, Hosapete recorded 40.4 degrees Celsius, Bidar - 40.3 degrees Celsius, while Gadag, Vijayapura and Bagalkot have recorded 40.2 degrees Celsius.</p>.<p class="bodytext">This is for the first time in the last several years, the north Karnataka districts are experiencing intense heat and sunny days.</p>.<p class="bodytext">KSNDMC said that on March 16, Dharwad had recorded 41.2 degrees Celsius.
