D K Shivakumar becoming CM is certain: Vokkaliga Mutt seer

Mandya: Vishwa Vokkaligara Mahasamsthana Mutt’s seer Nischalanandanatha Swami has predicted that Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar will certainly be the chief minister.

Speaking to reporters in Mandya, on Friday, the seer said, “Shivakumar has worked hard for the Congress to secure 136 seats in the last Assembly election. His supporters are wishing that he becomes the CM and it is certain that he would become the CM”.

“The senior leaders, who worked for the party, always have the desire to become the CM. Similarly, we also want him to adorn the top post. Shivakumar is a disciplined soldier of the party. He will wait patiently to get a good position. I have seen him closely. He is not in a hurry for anything. He has led the party with restraint and brought the party this far”, he said.

The seer added that the Vokkaliga community extended support to the Congress to see Shivakumar as the chief minister.
