<p>Protesters from the association started their rally from Gandhi Vana and crossed M G Road, Ammavari Pete circle, Mecce circle, before submitting a representation to the deputy commissioner at his office.<br /><br />Apart from demanding for the implementation of the report, the protesters also demanded for the curbing of increasing prices of essential commodities, acquisition of agricultural lands for industrial purposes, delay in granting stipends for students, senior citizens, disabled and widows. <br /><br />The protesters also sought for an inquiry into the irregularities in MGREGS implementation, regular power supply, providing basic amenities in government hospitals and granting minimum wages for the staff members of Akshara Dasoha.<br /><br />District unit president Venkataramanna, Nagalekha, Gupta, Mohammed Ali, S Narayanaswamy, Srinivas Murthy, Jayaram, Ramachandraiah, Nagaraj, Narayan Gowda, Krishna and Pradeep led the protesters.<br /></p>
