Speaking at a felicitation programme at the Gurubhavana here on Sunday, Shanthegowda said that she would launch agitation to prevent the interference of MLAs in the administration of local bodies.
JD(S) state Vice-President H T Rajendra said that there is possbility of secular parties coming to power, if BJP government fall due to internal clashes.
Newly elected Legislative Council members should meet citizens regularly to understand their problems. Elected members also should put effort to find solutions to the problems faced by arecanut farmers, he added. Congress district president M L Moorthi said that the BJP legislators are playing the role of opposition.
