The achievements of the government will be kept before the people by the INTUC, said Taluk Panchayat member B B Sathish.
The move will commemorate the completion of four years of successful administration by the Congress-led state government, said the member.
He was speaking after flagging off a bike rally organised by the INTUC at Tanniruhalla near Somwarpet on Monday. Sathish, meanwhile, requested the youth to take part.
Block Congress president K M Lokesh said that the Siddaramaiah government has been implementing many pro-people schemes, while the Central Government’s decisions are causing headache to people. The Congress will be re-elected in the upcoming elections, he said with confidence.
INTUC state vice president Napanda Muttappa, secretary Napanda Muddappa and district unit president T P Hamid were present during the celebrations.
The bike rally was flagged off at Valnuru village on Sunday. After passing through Alur-Siddapur, the rally moved to Handli, Shanivarasanthe, Kodlipet and Madapur via Somwarpet.
