Have asked Chief Secretary to examine Tamil Nadu model on RSS ban: CM Siddaramaiah

“The Tamil Nadu government has banned RSS activities on government premises. I have asked the Chief Secretary to study if the procedure followed by the Stalin government can be implemented in the state. We will take a decision based on the CS report,” Siddaramaiah said.

Bagalkot: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Monday that he had received RDPR Minister Priyank Kharge’s letter seeking a ban on RSS activities on government land and that he had directed the chief secretary to examine the Tamil Nadu model on the issue.

“The Tamil Nadu government has banned RSS activities on government premises. I have asked the Chief Secretary to study if the procedure followed by the Stalin government can be implemented in the state. We will take a decision based on the CS report,” Siddaramaiah told reporters on the sidelines of an all-religion convention at Bandigani Mutt near Rabkavi-Banhatti.

On the November revolution claims, Siddaramaiah said, “No such kranti will ever happen. They are all baseless.”

Replying to a query about the dinner meeting, the chief minister said, “I have been hosting dinner parties regularly and they all have a ‘common menu’ There is nothing special about the dinner meeting on Monday.”

While  addressing the convention, Siddaramaiah referred to an attempt to hurl shoes at the Chief Justice of India and said “an advocate belonging to Sanatana Dharma” was involved in the act and questioned whether such behaviour should be tolerated. He said such actions must be denounced unequivocally.
