HC directs police not to arrest Arjun Sarja

In what comes as a relief for actor Arjun Sarja, the Karnataka High Court on Friday, directed the state (police) not to arrest the actor till the next date of hearing.

Justice Dinesh Kumar was hearing a petition filed by Sarja seeking quashing of the FIR filed against him following the complaint lodged by Actor Shruti Hariharan accusing Sarja of sexually harassing her.

The court also made it clear that the police shall continue the investigation on the complaint filed by the actress.

Sarja alleged that the case and complaint was a classic case of austere abuse of law and launching of malicious and vile attacks on an innocent man who has thrived hard for 36 years to stand out with the portrait of gentleman.
