Heli Tourism would prove beneficial in generting income as the entire coast is dotted with picturesque tourist spots, said MLA Raghupathi Bhat.

Speaking after launching the three-day Heli Tourism progarmme at Adi Udupi, the MLA said the programme should cover entire coast.

Bhat added that there was ample potential to promote tourism projects and heli tourism will be added to the attraction.

He added that all the three coastal districts should be included in the promotion of Heli Tourism.

“Udupi should be made the headquarters and heli tourism should be promoted in all the three districts.”

He also added that the tourism department has taken up several measures to promote various beauty spots in the days to come.

Heli Tourism Organiser Suresh Shetty said the progarmme was organised for three days and the packages included fly for 8, 10 and 13 minutes. Price will be charged accordingly, he added.

Chipson Aviation-Bengaluru Pilot Ramesh Bhoominath said that the public should get the experience of chopper ride above the picturesque locations.
