<p>“The Karnataka Private Medical Establishments Act 2007 mandates that hospitals display information regarding the facilities available and the charges for various treatments and tests,” Medical Education Minister Ramadas told media persons, after visiting the Government Wenlock Hospital here on Friday. A circular in this regard will be issued shortlly, he said.<br /><br />“Those who violate the rule will be punished with six months’ jail and penalty. Private hospitals need to also display details about visiting government doctors,” the minister said. <br />He said the report of the three-member committee on misappropriation in the entrance test to medical post-graduation courses would be out on Saturday.<br /><br />He also said action would be taken against nursing students from Bidar, who were caught mass copying in the diploma examination conducted at six centres in Bangalore recently.</p>
