Inquiry panel visits MIMS; collects documents

The inquiry team was appointed by the State government to go into the accusations made against the institute.

Director of Directorate of Medical Education Dr Aruna was part of the team.

The team members collected opinion and sought records from the Director of MIMS, Dr Pushpa Sarkar.  The team members also interacted with the members of Progressive Thinkers Federation, Professor H L Keshavamurthy, H Vasu and others who made complaints against the MIMS. Medical Education Minister S A Ramdas had inspected the MIMS a few days back and had recommended the government to constitute a committee to inquire allegations.

The progressive thinkers alleged that many of them have become professors at MIMS by producing fake certificates.
