Karnataka: Court grants bail to the accused in tiger deaths in MMH wildlife division

Chamarajanagar: The Additional District and Sessions Court (Kollegal) has sanctioned bail for three accused in connection with the poisoning of five tigers to death at Hoogyam range, in Malai Mahadeshwara Wildlife Division.

It has granted conditional bail to Madaraju, Nagaraju and Konappa, along with a security bond of Rs 50,000. They have been directed not to go anywhere without the Court's permission and have to appear for hearing.

Meanwhile, the Forest department officials, who have completed the investigation into the unnatural death of the tigers, have submitted a charge sheet to the Court. An application will be filed to the Court through the Public Prosecutor to cancel the bail of the accused, said DCF Bhaskar of the Malai Mahadeshwara Wildlife Division.
