<p>Hubballi: Nine Lord Ayyappa Maladharis, including a minor, suffered severe burn injuries after an LPG cylinder leakage resulted in a fire mishap at Eshwara Temple in Achhavvana Colony at Sainagar in the early hours of Monday.</p><p>The condition of eight devotees, who have sustained more than 80 per cent burn injuries, is said to be critical, while the 12-year-old boy has sustained nearly 25 per cent burn injuries. </p><p>They have been treated at Karnataka Medical College-Research Institute (KMC-RI) in the City.</p>.Lord Ayyappa devotee injured in elephant attack in Karnataka .<p>According to Vidyanagar police, around 14 devotees were worshiping Ayyappa Swamy at a room on the first floor of Eshwar Temple in Achhavvana Colony. On Sunday night, after performing pooja, nine devotees stayed at the temple itself, while others returned to their homes.</p><p>As the room was congested, police say the cylinder might have fallen down after being kicked by one of the devotees resulting in leakage of gas. The gas might have caught fire from the lamp that was lit for their worship.</p><p>Doctors at the hospital said that Shankar Rayangoudra has sustained 99 per cent injuries, Prakash Barker (91per cent), Sanjay Savadatti (89 per cent), Praveen Chalavadi (86 per cent), Ajjaswamy (86 per cent), Tejawar Reddy (74 per cent), Raju Harlapur (74 per cent), Manjuanth Torad (70 per cent) and 12-year-old Vinayak Barker suffered 25 per cent burn injuries.</p><p>KMC-RI Director S F Kammar said an expert team headed by plastic surgeon Raveendra Yaligar have been treating the injured persons. If required they will take help from experts from other districts too.</p><p>Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, MLA Prasad Abbayya, Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu GRJ, Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, Sriram Sena chief Pramod Muthalik and others visited the hospital and enquired about injured persons.</p>
