<p>Madikeri: In two separate incidents in Kodagu district (Karnataka), a son has been arrested for killing his father, and in another case, a father has been held for murdering one of his stepdaughters and attempting to kill another.</p><p>In the first case, the Kushalnagar Rural Police have arrested KM Chandrashekar (28), a resident of Kuvempunagara in Mysuru, for allegedly murdering his father, Manjanna (60), who had been living alone in Koodumangalore village near Kushalnagar after separating from his wife and son.</p>.'Gave him so many pills, nothing happened': Chats between wife, lover reveal plot to murder husband.<p>Police reported that Manjanna's body was found in the Cauvery River near Chikkabettagere on March 16. His wife, who resides in Hunsur, grew suspicious about his death and filed a complaint. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Manjanna had lost a leg in a factory accident 14 years ago and was immobile. </p><p>He had not transferred any property or financial assets to his son. Angered by this, Chandrashekar, with the help of friends, allegedly took his father in a car to the riverbank, assaulted him, and threw him into the water, said the police. </p><p>In another case, police have arrested Panjari Eravara Ravi (42), a resident of Rudraguppe near Kutta, for allegedly murdering his wife’s five-year-old daughter from her previous marriage and attempting to kill the other twin.</p><p>Police said that Ravi had killed one of the twin daughters a year ago and buried her. Recently, he attacked the other girl, tried to burn her, and pushed her into a pit near Biligere before fleeing. However, the girl managed to climb out of the pit and was spotted by the public on the roadside, who then alerted the police.</p><p>Upon rescuing the child and questioning her, it was revealed that her stepfather Ravi was behind the attack. Police later exhumed the remains of the first girl he had killed. The first murder case has been registered at Kutta Police Station, while the second attempted murder case was registered at the Madikeri Rural Police Station.</p>
