KPSC scam: State told to file memo

 The High Court on Thursday directed the State government to file a memo in connection with a petition seeking action against those gazetted probationaries who benefited from the irregularities and malpractices in the Karnataka Public Service Commission recruitments during 1998, 1999 and 2004.

Hearing a contempt plea by Khaleel Ahmed and others, seeking action against officers who benefited from the scam, the division bench directed the government to file a memo by March 4.

When the government counsel Veerappa submitted that there is a need to verify whether they (gazetted probationaries) benefited due to the irregularities, the bench said, “There is malpractice which has been established. Now, there is a need to know the beneficiaries. They have given the list, what is the action taken?”
